Badges, stars, oh my!

As teachers progress through Global Gateway professional development modules, they build online portfolios of digital badges earned for their achievements. Teachers can share their badges in the VIF community, via social media and with administrators and district personnel. As visual representations of specific skills and accomplishments, digital badges are increasingly prevalent in the education community and offer educators validation of their efforts. Proficiency in global education may be demonstrated through portable badging credentials recognized by schools, districts and state and national institutions.
